  • 1 large c. strawberries
  • 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • baked pie shell
  • another c. whole strawberries on bottom of baked pie shell

Directions

    Mash 1 cup berries; add rest of ingredients and let come to a boil.

    Take off stove and beat well.

    Cool thoroughly.

    Pour cooked mixture into baked pie shell over whole strawberries. Serve cold.

    May garnish with Cool Whip if desired.
