Strawberry Pretzel Bars

  • 2 cups Finely Crushed Pretzels
  • 1/2 cups Sugar, Divided
  • 2/3 cups Butter Or Margarine, Melted
  • 1-1/2 package Cream Cheese, Softened (8 Oz Each)
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk
  • 1 cup Thawed Whipped Topping
  • 2 cups Boiling Water
  • 1 package Strawberry Flavor Gelatin (6 Oz Package)
  • 1-1/2 cup Cold Water
  • 4 cups Fresh Strawberries, Hulled And Sliced

Directions

    Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a 9x13 pan mix your pretzel crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup of butter. Press into the bottom of the pan and bake for 10 minutes. Then remove it from the oven and cool completely.

    In a seperate bowl, whip the cream cheese, remaining sugar and milk until blended. Stir in the Cool Whip gently; spread it over the crust. Refrigerate.

    Add boiling water into the gelatin mix in a large bowl; stir 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water. Refrigerate 1-1/2 hours or until thickened.

    Then cut the strawberries into small pieces and stir them into the gelatin. Spoon the mixture over the cream cheese layer.

    Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm.
