Ingredients

  • 2 lb. any style string beans
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/8 c. dry oregano
  • 1/8 c. olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp. dry basil
  • 1 tsp. crushed black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp. green peppercorns, crushed
  • 1 tsp. white peppercorns, crushed
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cook string beans as desired (boil, steam, microwave, etc.); set aside.

    In a large saucepan over low heat, heat butter and oil.

    Add the crushed garlic and peppercorns.

    Add remaining ingredients except the cheese.

    Mix well and heat until it just begins to bubble.

    Remove from heat.

    Add beans, mixing thoroughly.

    Place on a warm serving dish.

    Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the string beans and serve.
