- 5 large bell peppers
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp. butter
- 1 c. Heinz 57 sauce
- 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 2 c. cooked rice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except the bell peppers.

2Wash the peppers well, cut off the tops and clean out the inside.

3Rinse well.

4In a 3-quart boiler, bring 2 quarts of water to a boil.

5Drop the bell peppers into the water for 10 minutes.

6Remove the peppers and place them on a 3-inch deep baking dish.

7Spoon the meat mixture into the peppers.

8Cover with foil.

9Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
