- 1 head cabbage
- 1/2 c. partially cooked rice
- salt
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
- finely chopped, sauteed onions
- pepper
Directions

1Wilt cabbage in boiling water to which juice of 1 lemon has been added.

2Drain cabbage leaves; cut heavy rib out.

3Combine meat, onion, rice and seasoning.

4Spread leaf with 2 tablespoons of mixture.

5Fold opposite and roll.

6Place in pan.

7Add 1 cup hot water and 1/2 cup tomato juice.

8Cover; simmer in oven at 325° for 2 hours.

9Serve with boiled potatoes and string beans.
