- 1 lb. lean ground beef or lamb
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1/4 c. chopped parsley
- 1 tsp. fresh mint or 1/2 tsp. dried
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/4 c. water
- salt
- pepper
- dash of lemon juice
- 1 jar grape leaves
Directions

1Mix together all ingredients, except grape leaves. Wash leaves; remove stems. Put 1/4 to 1/2 cup mixture in each leaf and roll, tucking in ends. Place in one layer in shallow baking dish; pour in small amount of water or chicken broth to prevent sticking. Cover and simmer in 350° oven for 45 minutes.
