Stuffed Grape Leaves

Ingredients
- 40 to 50 grapevine leaves
- 1 c. rice (uncooked)
- 1 lb. ground beef or lamb
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- water (to cover)
Directions

1Soak grape leaves in warm water for 10 minutes to soften. Combine remaining ingredients (except lemon juice and water) in bowl and mix well.

2Take 1 leaf, place shiny side down and fill with 1 teaspoon of meat mix at base of leaf.

3Roll into finger shape (firmly).

4Place into pan in layers, alternating the direction of each layer.

5Add water to cover leaves.

6Bring to a boil, then add lemon juice.

7Lower heat and simmer for approximately 45 minutes until water is almost completely absorbed.
