- 6 onions
- 1 lb. beef
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. allspice
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 c. long grain rice, soaked 1/2 hour in water
- 3 diced tomatoes
- 1/2 c. beef broth
Directions

1Broil onions 20 minutes.

2Cut off tops.

3Slice down center side; cut off bottom.

4Separate the onion circles (leaves).

5Mix together beef and next 5 ingredients.

6Add tomatoes (helps cook the rice).

7Hold the onion circles (leaves) open and add small ball of meat mixture; roll onion around the meat.

8Put in frying pan with olive oil; brown bottom 15 minutes.

9Add beef broth. Simmer 45 minutes.
