- 6 large bell peppers
- 1 large onion
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. cooked rice
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 c. grated cheese
Directions

1Cut tops off peppers; chop and saute with onion and butter. Add ground beef; cook and drain.

2Stir in rice and tomato sauce. (Cook whole peppers in boiling water.)

3Set cooked peppers in a shallow baking dish with 1/2 cup water.

4Fill peppers and bake, covered, at 350° for 40 minutes.

5Add cheese on top and bake, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
