Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 c. coarse dry bread crumbs or crackers
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 4 peppers, seeded and stemmed

Directions

    Mix all ingredients, except peppers.

    Cook peppers in boiling water for 5 minutes.

    Stuff loosely with mixture.

    Stand upright in baking dish.

    Pour remaining tomato sauce and water over peppers.

    Bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes.

    Uncover and bake 15 minutes more.
