Stuffed Peppers (Basic)

- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 large green peppers
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 cup cooked white rice
- salt
- pepper
- 1 can tomato sauce or diced tomatoes
Directions

1Saute onions and garlic until clear.

2Combine 1/2 the onions and garlic, 1/2 cup rice, salt and pepper with ground beef.

3Slice the peppers in half and clean out the seeds.

4Stuff the split peppers with the ground beef mixture

5Place the stuffed peppers in a casserole filled with the remaining onions and garlic and the canned tomatoes or sauce.

6Cover with aluminum foil

7Cook in preheated oven set to 375 degrees for 45 minutes.

8Remove the foil. Spoon the sauce over the peppers and cook an additional 15 minutes or until no redness remains in beef.
