Stuffed Rice Tomatoes

- 6 medium sized tomatoes
- 3/4 c. cooked rice
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Wash and remove stems from stem end of tomatoes.

2Take out seeds and pulp.

3Sprinkle inside of tomatoes with salt or sugar, if no onion is desired.

4Cook onion in butter until brown.

5Add rice and tomatoes from which the water has been drained.

6Salt and pepper.

7Heat thoroughly.

8Refill tomatoes with mixture.

9Cover with buttered bread crumbs.

10Bake 10 to 15 minutes in moderate oven.
