  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce (26 oz.)
  • 1 box stuffing shells, cooked according to pkg.
  • 4 c. (2 lb.) Ricotta cheese
  • 2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
  • 3/4 tsp. oregano (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Mix together cheeses, eggs, parsley, salt and pepper for filling.

    Using a teaspoon, carefully fill cooked, cooled stuffing shells with the cheese mixture.

    In a 9 x 13-inch baking pan, pour 1/2 of the sauce, then arrange the shells, open side up, in a single layer over the sauce.

    Cover with remaining sauce and sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.

    Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350° for about 35 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

    Allow to stand, uncovered, for about 10 minutes before serving.

    Makes 8 to 10 servings (about 36 shells).
