- whole summer squash
- butter, melted
- salt
- seasoned pepper
- onion, grated
- buttered breadcrumbs
- Cheddar cheese, grated
Directions

1Parboil squash in salt water about 5 minutes or until tender. Cool.

2Scoop out squash, leaving a boat.

3Take pulp and add butter, salt, seasoned pepper and onion.

4Cook until done. Spoon mixture back into squash boats.

5Cover with buttered breadcrumbs and cheese.

6Bake in a 400° oven until cheese is melted and topping is brown (about 25 to 30 minutes).
