- 27 slices bread or 1 1/2 lb. bread (2 qt.) packed soft bread crumbs (break them up)
- 2 1/2 tsp. sage
- 2 1/2 tsp. dry minced onion
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 large eggs
- 3 c. milk
Directions

1Place bread in mixing bowl.

2Add milk, the bread should absorb all the milk, so there is none left in the bowl.

3Mix lightly and spoon into aluminum bread tin; do not pack.

4Wrap in 2 thicknesses of aluminum foil.

5Place in center of oven, preheated to 325°. Bake 2 1/2 hours.

6Then open foil and bake until top is lightly browned, about 15 minutes.
