Stuffing Lasagna

  • 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 c. spaghetti sauce, divided
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3 c. Stove Top chicken flavored stuffing mix
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 (15 oz.) container Ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese, divided

    Heat oven to 350°.

    Brown meat in skillet; drain fat.

    Add 1 cup of the spaghetti sauce and the water.

    Bring to a boil.

    Add stuffing mix; stir to moisten.

    Remove from heat.

    Beat egg in a medium bowl; stir in Ricotta and Parmesan cheese.

    Spoon in 1/2 of the stuffing mixture evenly in an 8 x 8-inch pan.

    Spoon 1/2 the cheese mixture on top of the stuffing.

    Top with 1/2 cup each of the Mozzarella cheese and the spaghetti sauce.

    Repeat the layers. Bake 40 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
