- 1 lb. pork shoulder
- 3 lb. potatoes, peeled and cut into pieces
- 1 large onion
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. cloves, ground
Directions

1Put meat, potatoes, onion and salt into a large cooking pot. Cover with water.

2Bring to a boil.

3Reduce heat and simmer until meat and potatoes are tender (2 to 4 hours).

4Add water as needed. Add spices halfway through cooking.

5Continue to simmer until mixture reaches desired consistency.
