  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. 10x sugar
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 c. oil
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar

    Cream the sugars and the margarine together.

    Combine all other ingredients and mix until well blended.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    Drop by spoonfuls the size of walnuts onto greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.

    Use the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar to flatten balls; add extra sugar to cookies if needed.

    Bake at 350° until golden.
