  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 4 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • pinch of salt

    Cream sugar and Crisco well.

    Add 2 eggs; beat well.

    Add buttermilk and soda.

    Add flour, one cup at a time, with baking powder, salt and vanilla.

    Drop from spoon.

    Dip bottom of glass (use glass with flat bottom) in sugar and cinnamon; flatten cookies.

    Bake at 375° for 10 minutes.
