  • 1 pound carrots, scraped and cut into 1/8-inch-thick diagonal slices
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon light stick butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions

    Steam carrot, covered, 6 minutes or until crisp-tender. Transfer to a serving bowl, and keep warm.

    Combine brown sugar and remaining 4 ingredients in a small bowl. Drizzle over carrot; toss well.
