  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 c. sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 lb. pecan halves
  • 1 stick butter or margarine

    Heat oven to 325°.

    Beat egg whites until stiff.

    Add sugar and salt; mix well.

    Add pecans; coat well.

    Melt butter in 9 x 13-inch pan; add pecans and mix well.

    Bake 45 minutes in 325° oven, stirring every 10 minutes.
