- 2 lb. butternut squash
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 c. butter, melted
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. mace
- 2 baking apples, cored and cut into 1/2-inch slices
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Cut squash in half lengthwise and remove seeds.

3Pare squash.

4Cut into 1/2-inch slices.

5Mix dry ingredients.

6Arrange squash in ungreased baking pan 11 x 7-inch and top with sliced apples.

7Sprinkle sugar mixture on top; pour melted butter around.

8Cover with foil.

9Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until squash is tender.
