- 2 c. shelled walnuts
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. (4 oz.) sour cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Combine the sugars and sour cream in a saucepan.

2Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring constantly. Continue cooking this mixture without stirring until it reaches 238° on a candy thermometer.

3Remove from heat.

4Add vanilla and nuts.

5Stir until nuts are thickly covered and the coating loses its gloss.

6(Don't give up, this takes a while!)

7Spoon nuts onto wax paper and separate nuts with forks.

8Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
