Ingredients

  • 1 lb. flip or chip steak
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. celery, cut in 1-inch strips
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 large can mixed Chinese vegetables
  • 1/2 c. mushrooms, sliced (optional)

Directions

    Cut steak into thin strips, approximately one-inch long and saute along with onion and celery in the butter.

    Add mushrooms and vegetables, soy sauce and water to mixture.

    Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

    Serve over rice or dried Chinese noodles.

    Season with salt and pepper.
