Summer Caprese Salad

  • 1/2 pounds Fresh Mozzarella Cheese, Sliced 1/4 Inch Thick
  • 2 whole Large Navel Oranges, Peeled, Sliced In Rounds, 1/4 Inch Thick
  • 1/3 cups Fresh Basil Leaves, Chiffonade
  • Coarse Salt And Freshly Ground Black Pepper To Taste
  • 1/4 cups Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Directions

    In a circular design around the side of a serving plate (or in your preferred pattern), alternate fresh mozzarella slices on a large platter with sliced oranges, overlapping for effect.

    Sprinkle the basil over the slices. Add salt and freshly ground pepper to taste. Just before serving, drizzle on some top-quality extra-virgin olive oil.
