  • 1/2 c. bacon drippings or cooking oil
  • 1 qt. water
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • salt to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar

Directions

    Wash greens in warm or hot water.

    Place in water; add bacon drippings, baking soda, salt and sugar.
