  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 can asparagus soup or 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 4 c. sliced squash
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 c. water
  • shredded Cheddar cheese
  • bread crumbs

Directions

    Cook squash, green pepper and onion in water and butter just until tender.

    Combine with seasonings and soup; stir gently. Place in a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.

    Top with shredded Cheddar cheese and bread crumbs.

    Bake at 350° until bubbly and top is brown.
