  • 1 envelope dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 2/3 cup milk
  • 6 tbsp butter melted
  • 4 3/4 cup all purpose flour divided
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cooking spray

    dissolve yeast and sugar in warm milk (110), let stand for 5 minutes.stir in butter ...add 4 1/4 cup flour and salt to milk mixture, :stir until blended.

    put dough on a lightly floured surface.knead dough until smootg and elastic (about 10 minutes), add enough of remaining flour, 1tablespoon at a time.to prevent sticking to hands ( dough will still be lightly sticky).

    place dough in a large glass bowl spray in bowl with cooking spray, truning to coat the top.cover with plastic wrap, let rise in a warm place.

    punch dough down, let rest 5 minutes.

    roll dough into 14x7-inches rectangle on a lightly floured surface.....roll up rectangle tightly, starting with a short edge.pressing firmly to eliminate air pockets, pinch seams and ends to seal.place roll seam side down, in a 9x5- inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray.cover and let rise 1 hour or until double in bulk.

    uncover dough, bake at 350for 45 minutes or untill loaf is brown and sounds hollow when tapped.

    remove loaf from pan, set on wire rack till cooled.
