  • 12 egg yolks, from pasteurized eggs
  • 1 lb powdered sugar
  • 2 quarts half-and-half cream
  • 1 quart whole milk
  • 6 egg whites, from pasteurized eggs
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • grated nutmeg

Directions

    Beat egg yolks until light; beat powdered sugar in gradually.

    Add half and half and milk very slowly, beating constantly.

    Whip egg whites and salt with clean beaters until stiff.

    Fold lightly into the other ingredients.

    Gently pour into punch bowl.

    Serve sprinkled with grated nutmeg.
