  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced (2 c.)
  • 4 to 5 medium carrots, peeled and sliced (2 c.)
  • 2 medium yellow or white onions, peeled and sliced (1 c.)
  • 1 1/2 c. frozen green peas
  • 1 can tomato soup

    Press the ground beef into the bottom and halfway up the sides of a 2-quart casserole dish.

    Layer each vegetable:

    potatoes, onions, carrots and peas.

    Spread tomato soup on top.

    Cover and bake in 300° oven for three hours.
