Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. water (warm)
  • 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/4 c. Pet milk (evaporated)
  • 1 egg (unbeaten)
  • 1/4 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Soften yeast in warm water.

    Sift flour, sugar and salt in bowl.

    Cut in margarine.

    Add milk, egg, raisins and yeast.

    Mix well.

    Chill in refrigerator, covered, from 2 hours to overnight. Cream 1/4 cup margarine.

    Add brown sugar, creaming well.

    Add nuts.
