  • 50 small cucumbers
  • 1 c. water
  • mixed spices
  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. salt to each qt. water

Directions

    Cover cucumbers in salt water overnight.

    Drain and dry (cut if desired).
  3. 3
    Boil vinegar and sugar until clear.
  4. 4
    Add cucumbers, let stand over low heat until they loose their green color.
  5. 5
    Place 1 teaspoon spice in bottom of each quart jar.
  6. 6
    Add pickles, cover with hot syrup and seal.
