Ingredients
- 6 to 8 medium cucumbers (unpeeled)
- 1 green or red pepper, seeded and chopped
- 2 c. mild cider vinegar
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1/4 c. noniodized salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 2 whole cloves
Directions

1Select young firm cucumbers.

2Slice into even slices.

3Place in a large bowl.

4Bring vinegar, sugar, spices and salt to a boil. Boil 1 minute.

5Immediately pour over cucumbers.

6Pack in hot sterilized jars.

7Cover and cool.

8Refrigerate 1 week before using. Pickles may also be processed if you wish to keep them longer but they will keep a long time in the refrigerator.

9Makes 3 to 4 pints.
