Ingredients

  • 1 tenderized round steak, cut up
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • flour
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 can original stewed tomatoes
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp. cooking oil

Directions

    Salt and pepper tenderized steak; dip in flour.

    Brown in oil in frying pan until browned on both sides, then remove from pan and lay in oblong baking pan.

    Then take your sliced onion, bell pepper and stewed tomatoes and put on top of browned meat; season again with salt and pepper.

    To the remaining oil in frying pan, mix at least 2 to 3 teaspoons of flour with oil until brown.

    Pour flour drippings over meat, onion, pepper and tomatoes in pan.

    Add about 2 cups of water to pan.

    Cover with foil and bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.

    Serve with white rice.
