  • 12 (4 oz.) Minute steaks, tenderized
  • 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 fresh, medium green pepper
  • 2 (1 lb.) cans canned tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Directions

    Saute onion and pepper in hot fat.

    Remove from skillet. Brown steaks slightly; salt and pepper to taste.

    Place steaks in casserole pan in single layer, if possible.

    Mash canned tomatoes; add sugar.

    Mix in onion and pepper.

    Spoon vegetables over steak.

    Bake covered for 1 hour at 300°.

    Serves 12.
