- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup diced carrots
- 1 cup canned tomatoes
Directions

1Roll meat in flour and seasonings.

2Cut into serving pieces. Combine vegetables, pour over meat.

3Cover pan tightly and reduce heat to low and simmer slowly for about 1 1/2 hours.

4Can be baked in a slow oven.
