- 2 lb. round steak
- 1/2 c. onions
- 1/2 c. carrots
- 1/2 c. green peppers
- 1/2 c. celery
- salt, pepper and flour (pound into steak)
- 1 1/2 c. tomato juice or canned tomatoes
Directions

1Trim steak and rub with garlic.

2Pound into steak as much seasoned flour as both sides will hold.

3Brown meat in fat on one side.

4When turned over, place in casserole; add chopped vegetables and seasoning.

5Cover with tomato juice.

6Bake in covered casserole for 2 to 2 1/2 hours at 300°.
