Ingredients
- 1 (8 oz.) bag corn chips, crushed
- 1 large dry onion, sliced
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 (16 oz.) can chili beans
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 pkg. taco seasoning
- small head lettuce, chopped
- 1 large or 2 medium fresh tomatoes
- 3/4 lb. mild Cheddar
Directions

1Saute onion and hamburger.

2Put in beans and tomato sauce. Heat and mix seasoning and simmer.

3Have corn chips crushed in bottom of baking dish (9 x 13-inch).

4I use rolling pin to crush chips while still in bag, poke with pin to let air out.

5Pour mixture over corn chips.

6Have cheese grated.

7Sprinkle over top of mix.

8Let stand a few minutes, then shred lettuce over top and dice tomatoes in chunks over lettuce.

9Serve while hot.
