- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 small green pepper, chopped
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 (No. 2 1/2) can (3 1/2 c.) tomatoes
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1 c. milk
- 1 (No. 2) can cream style corn (2 c.)
- 1/2 c. grated American cheese
- pitted ripe olives (may omit)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Cook onion, garlic, green pepper and celery in oil for 5 minutes.

3Add ground meat and cook for 15 minutes longer, stirring constantly.

4Add cream style corn.

5Mix cornmeal with milk and stir into mixture.

6Cook for 15 minutes longer, stirring constantly.

7Add cream style corn.

8Pour into greased pan, top with grated cheese and decorate with olives.

9Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour.
