  • 1 c. shortening
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 1/2 c. plain flour

Directions

    Cream shortening and sugar.

    Add eggs and beat well.

    Add flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla.

    Knead a small amount at a time and roll out thinly.

    Cut into halves.

    Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes on greased cookie sheet.
