- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
- 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Add 1 egg; mix well, then add the other egg.

3Mix well.

4Add flour slowly; mix as you go.

5Add vanilla flavoring and nuts.

6Mixture should be stiff. Roll mixture out on waxed paper with a floured rolling pin cut with cookie cutters and place on ungreased cookie sheet.

7Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.

8Makes 36 cookies.
