  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. confectioners sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar

    Cream margarine, oil, sugars and eggs.

    Add vanilla.

    Sift flour, salt, soda and cream of tartar together. Mix into creamed mixture.

    Chill dough 1 hour. Bake at 325° for 10 minutes (just until edges look brown, center will remain soft, baking too long will make cookies crisp).
