  • 2 lbs 90% lean ground beef
  • 3 cups onions, chopped
  • 3 serrano chilies, chopped
  • 2 cups green peppers, chopped
  • 16 ounces kidney beans
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 12 teaspoon red pepper
  • 23 cup masa harina
  • 29 ounces beef broth
  • 32 ounces canned stewed tomatoes, undrained
  • 24 ounces dark beer
  • 23 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice

    Cook meat until brown.

    Drain and set aside.

    Drain and rinse kidney beans.

    Drain and set aside.

    In a large stock pot, saute onion, bell pepper, and chilies in oil until tender.

    Combine meat, beans, vegetables, chili powder, cumin, oregano, garlic, and red pepper.

    Mix well.

    Sprinkle mixture with Masa Harina.

    Add tomatoes, beer, salt, hot sauce, and beef broth.
