- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 c. celery, chopped
- 1/2 c. regular rice (uncooked)
- 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato puree
- grated Cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Brown beef.

2Season to taste.

3Place meat in casserole dish. Sprinkle with onion and celery.

4Place rice over vegetables.

5Mix chili powder in tomato sauce and puree.

6Pour over mixture.

7Cover and bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours or until rice is cooked. Sprinkle cheese over top and bake just until cheese melts.

8Serves 6 to 8.
