Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach
- 1 1/2 lb. jar spaghetti sauce with mushrooms
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 7 oz. shell macaroni
- 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 c. salad oil
- 1 c. shredded American cheese
Directions

1Cook ground beef, onion and garlic until meat is thoroughly brown; drain.

2To meat, add spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt and pepper.

3Simmer 10 minutes.

4Set aside.

5Cook frozen spinach according to package directions.

6(Do not season.) Drain.

7Cook shell macaroni until soft; drain.

8Mix together bread crumbs, eggs and salad oil.

9In a mixing bowl, mix together spinach, macaroni and bread and egg mixture.

10In a lightly greased oblong (9 x 13-inch) casserole dish, spread spinach and macaroni mixture.

11Spread meat sauce on top.

12Bake 30 minutes at 350°.

13Top with shredded cheese and let stand until cheese melts.

14Serve with fresh salad and garlic bread.
