Texas Pecan Pie

- 1 9-inch pie shell
- 1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. pecan halves
Directions

1Melt butter, add to syrup and sugar.

2Mix well until all sugar is dissolved.

3Add the eggs, and vanilla, and mix until smooth.

4Pour mixture into pie shell.

5Place pecan halves on the top of the pie.

6Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes, or until done.

7You can check this with a knife.

8When it comes out clean, the pie is done.

9Don't forget the ice cream.
