  • 3 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. instant rice
  • 1 medium green pepper, seeded and chopped fine
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 (6 oz.) can V-8 juice
  • 1/2 c. tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Directions

    Put margarine in a heavy pan.

    Pan fry onion and pepper until onion is slightly browned.

    Add remainder of ingredients.

    Cook for 15 minutes.
