  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 4 heaping tsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water

Directions

    Mix and heat until melted the oil, margarine, cocoa and water. Bring to boil.

    Set aside.

    Mix sugar and flour, then pour heated mixture into it.

    Beat well.
  5. 5
    Mix buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla.

    Pour into other ingredients.

    Blend well.

    Pour into greased and floured 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan.

    Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.
