  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix flour, sugar, salt and soda.

    Bring oleo, water and cocoa to a boil; mix with first mixture.

    Beat eggs in small bowl.

    Add sour milk or buttermilk and vanilla and add to first mixture. Pour into a greased cookie sheet, 12 x 15-inch.

    Bake at 375° for 20 minutes only.

    After cake has baked for 15 minutes, begin icing.
