  • 2 sticks margarine or butter
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 6 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 stick minus 1 tsp. margarine or butter
  • 1 box confectioners sugar
  • 3/4 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

    Boil cocoa, milk, vanilla and butter in medium saucepan.

    Add confectioners sugar.

    Mix until smooth and pour over warm cake immediately after coming out of oven.

    Top with 3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional).

    Cool on rack before cutting.
